When it comes to turbo cars, only one thing matters. Boost. Traditionally, 3 or 4 Port MAC Solenoids have been used to electronically regulate boost. The issue is that people don’t normally mount them in a way that is aesthetically pleasing, and making the wiring clean and tidy isn’t standard protocol.
So I designed a product to 1.) be aesthetically pleasing. 2.) have high usability and functionality. and 3.) ease the ability to install of boost solenoids in these cars.
Hidden pocket to allow for wires to pass through the side and go through the top
Mount for DTM-2 connector and holes for the wires to pass through.
With the known stated intentions in mind, I designed a solenoid holder that cleanly tucked away the wires from the solenoid and cleanly placed them in a terminated DTM-2 Connector allowing the end user to simply run the 2 wires to the power and signal to the complementary DTM connector and allow for quick and easy removal when necessary rather than the typical soldering and heat shrinking most people do.
Design considerations:
Durability against High Frequency Vibrations
Engine Bay Temperature Resistance
Pocket for wire to get to the outside to the dtm connector
Permanent, Solid, Snap in mount for the DTM-2 Connector
Clearance for M6x1.5 bolt to be able to be installed and removed without disturbing the DTM-2 Connector.
